I’m drawn to painting landscapes. For me it’s firstly about the sky, but then this has to sit with the rest of the scene. Watercolour used in this way enables me to capture a ‘realism’ and I try and recreate how I felt when I observed this view and what I experienced on the particular day. To me it’s often book marking memories so that they aren’t lost forever.
